Bendigo Thales workers “bitterly upset” at redundancies

AMWU members at Thales Bendigo are upset and disappointed at today’s announcement that up to 60 employees at Bendigo will be made redundant. 



AMWU regional organiser Damian King said the number of redundancies represented nearly 20% of the 350 strong workforce.

Technicians keep pay and conditions on the radar

It represents the eyes and ears of northern Australia. An over-the-horizon radar network that monitors air and sea movements across our remote coast line. Called JORN (Jindalee Operational Radar Network) it’s maintained and serviced by a small but dedicated team of AMWU members, 40 kilometers outside of Alice Springs.
